Service of the Court President

Governed by Article 25 of the Rules of Organization and Operation of the Supreme Court of Cassation, Article 4 of the Rules on Internal Organization and Systemization of Job Positions in the Supreme Court of Cassation

The Service of the President of the Court carries out professional duties for the President of the Court; prepares instructions and orders issued by the President of the Court; plans and prepares international projects; prepares the visits to the Supreme Court of Cassation; cooperates in the realization of contacts between the President of the Court and foreign courts and international institutions; performs public relations tasks and other duties set forth in the Rules on Internal Organization and Systemization of Job Positions.

Rules on Internal Organization and Systemization of Job Positions in the Supreme Court of Cassation stipulate that the following tasks are performed by the Service of the President of the Court: professional tasks for the President of the Court, tasks related to international cooperation, projects, and European integration; preparation of drafts of normative acts of the court and professional and administrative work for the Session of all the Judges of the Court; acting upon complaints and petitions of the parties and creation of the analysis of the acting of the courts upon petitions and complaints of the parties, when they are submitted directly to this Court or when they relate to the work of judges of immediately lower courts; tasks related to the communication with the courts and the public; monitoring the acting of the courts and the enforcement of measures that have been ordered by the competent authorities in the supervision of the work of the courts; analysis of periodic reports on the work of the courts; distribution of the court administration documents and taking care of the correspondence of the President of the Court; keeping of records of the meetings and duties of the President of the Court; organizing meetings and preparing materials for meetings chaired or involving the President of the Court; protocol tasks for the President of the Court, translation, internal audits and other tasks set forth in the Rules on Internal Organization and Systemization of Job Positions.

Service of the President of the Court is managed by the Head of Service, who is accountable for his/her work and the work of the Service to the President of the Court.

Head of the Service is an appointed civil servant.

Job positions in the Service of the President of the Court, job descriptions for each position and the related requirements are regulated by the provisions of the Rules on Internal Organization and Systemization of Job Positions in the Supreme Court of Cassation.
